It does this by decoupling the amplifier from the audio source using a transformer-induced audio signal to pass through induction but leaving the ground isolated. The product is easy to use, and it has four wires that connect to your factory speaker leads and RCA cables to connect to the amp. The product is not designed to work on video cables but only on audio cables. It works well to reduce ground loop and alternator whine and solve hum problems experienced in most audio systems. The device is also ideal for connecting a CB radio and eliminating noise from the power wire. However, some customers have reported that it only works when used between preamp and power amp, and it has no effect when the hum is already in the audio signal.
