AMACO Clay 45015Y Editorial Review
The Amaco 45015Y Moist Earthenware Modeling Clay is a great clay for sculpting, pots, bowls, figures, and more. It is soft and easy to work with, making it ideal for beginners. However, the clay does have some drawbacks. It is weaker when thrown thinner and taller due to the lack of grog, and it has a lot of air bubbles, requiring extra wedging. Additionally, the clay is porous and not food safe until it is fired and glazed. One important note is that the listing can be misleading regarding the weight of the clay, so buyers should be aware of potential shipping charges. Overall, this clay is highly recommended for its quality and price, but it may not be the best choice for all projects and purposes.
