The System Sensor Strobe is a white notification device that flashes when a smoke detector sets off the alarm, but it does not detect smoke or heat itself. It is a hard-wired strobe light that needs to be connected to a fire alarm control in order to power up the device and activate its strobe only function. The strobe is designed for a 24 VDC system and can be activated by sending 12V to it when a detector is activated. It is not extremely bright and has an intensity setting.
