    Answer: No, it's not needed to use the unit. This attachment is used for bleeding brakes. It's sold separate as an add-on and does not come with the unit.
  • Question: I'm having trouble seeing what this accessory does? Why do you need to do anything additional beyond attaching a vacuum source?

    Answer: It allows you to bleed the brakes, it is possible to bleed the brakes without it, but the on/off valve and the end link design for the bleeder screw makes it a lot easier and IMO worth purchasing the attachment.
  • Question: Anyone know if this will work with the evacuator sold by Griots Garage? The two look the same.

    Answer: Don't know, but the Griots' model looks identical to the Mityvac I own. Take OD measurements of adaptor shown in the photo and tele the Griot people.
  • Question: Does this come with everything in the picture. The hose an rubber an plastic adaptors?

    Answer: Yes, there are 2 different diameter 3-foot length plastic hoses and rubber adaptors to connect the hoses. The brake bleeder hose kit is available separately.
  • Question: Does this work with the mightyvac MV7201?

    Answer: Not sure it works with the MV7201, but it does work with the Mityvac 7400.
  • Question: What is the size of the replacement hose? Is there something stiffer that won't collapse under vacuum?

    Answer: I would check the Mityvac official site to see a hose size and material type.

Customer reception: The Mityvac 7205 Brake Bleed Conversion Kit has received mainly positive feedback from customers who appreciate its usefulness in brake bleeding and fluid extraction from other machines such as lawn mowers.
