Answer: No, Nest Wifi requires to be connected to a modem with broadband internet connection from an Internet Service Provider (ISP). You can connect Nest Wifi directly to your modem with the Ethernet cable to set it up and broadcast your Wi-Fi network. -

Answer: There's no need to reboot your Nest Wifi unless you want to refresh connection between your Nest Wifi and your modem.
