It is made from composite with metal trim and comes with a chain to hang it and a hand grip for costume use. It is not recommended for battle purposes and is better off as a wall decoration or display piece. Some customers have reported that the shield is a bit heavy when holding with one hand, but this can be easily remedied by drilling into the metal of the shield and attaching a handle. Others have mentioned that the shield is well-made and not as heavy as they thought it would be. Overall, this shield seems to be a great value for the money and a nice addition to any Templar cosplay or collection. Just keep in mind that it is not meant for combat purposes.
