The Micro-Mesh Model Polishing Kit is highly recommended for model builders and painters. The kit includes micro mesh MX files for metal and small 2x2 pads that are ideal for polishing small areas. The product is better than normal sandpapers and can be bent or folded without damaging it. The micro mesh kit cuts faster and more uniformly than regular sandpapers and if properly cared for, it can last a long time. The main concern in caring for it is to use it wet and clean it regularly. However, if it is not cleaned enough, the heat generated by friction can cause the removed paint to melt in between the grits and it can be difficult to remove without damaging the mesh.
