It’s perfect for gamers who like to be able to hear their own voice naturally while they play rather than piped in through the earcup and mixed directly into the game audio known as “sidetone” microphone monitoring. Instead the ventilation holes in the earcup allow sound to breathe naturally in both directions and gamers can hear both their own voice and other sound from the environment. This is often important for streamers some of whom prefer to monitor themselves with an unprocessed tone of voice.
