The Born Nerina shoes are made of real leather and look beautiful, however, some customers have raised quality control concerns. Some customers have complained about the lack of arch support and the width of the medium shoes, which run wide. They feel too big and are not tall enough to add an orthotic. The stitching that keeps the tongue and sides together has also come undone for some customers. Nonetheless, some customers love these shoes and find them extremely comfortable due to the use of excellent materials, which are synonymous with the born brand. One customer bought two pairs of Nerina shoes in different colors because they are comfortable and have the great Born comfort and style. Another customer likes the fact that they can remove the insoles to replace them with custom ones.
