The set-up is simple and requires only screwing the mic boom onto a table mount with 5/8"-27 threads. A Blue Snowball microphone can work with this product if its stand is removed as its threads match the threads of the gooseneck. The product is compatible with a spring clamp mic holder, and two goosenecks can be screwed together, depending on the weight of the microphone attached. The threads on this product are not common, having a quite fine thread pitch, so obtaining adapter rings would likely require visiting a specialty store rather than a big-box hardware store. The black color of the gooseneck adds a sleek touch. Some Cons include the stiffness that requires fidgeting to adjust the height and location of the mic holder, and the inability of the gooseneck to hold its shape once a microphone is attached within a desired weight range, causing it to fall down.
