The Apera Instruments Value Series PH850 Portable Handheld pH Meter Kit is a highly recommended product for brewing beer, checking pH of recycled antifreeze, assessing the acidity of newly made wines, and other pH measuring applications. The meter reads pH faster and is more accurate compared to other pH pens. It comes with a well-written instruction manual and everything needed for calibration and testing. Customers are also pleased with Apera's customer service, with one customer singling out Nicole for being "incredible." One customer received a defective unit, but the replacement process was easy and fast. The only Cons mentioned were the flimsy protective cap around the electrode bulb, the sometimes erratic stirrer plate, and the absence of lot numbers for the included buffer bottles. Overall, customers are satisfied with their purchase and recommend the product to others.
