The story begins with a desert-stuck pilot meeting the possibly imaginary character of the Little Prince, who demands that the pilot draw him a sheep. The simple and elegant Prose beautifully invokes the Prince's childlike simplicity and trust. The middle section of the book, where the Prince recounts his encounters with various grown-ups, may drag a little and come off as overly moralistic and instructional. However, once the Prince lands on Earth and interacts with the pilot again, the charm of the initial dialogue returns. Children will enjoy the tale for its fun and adults can find deeper levels to Consider. Overall, The Little Prince serves as a guide to how children view the world and find joy in the simplest things.
