Rule Bilge Pumps RM2000A-24 Editorial Review
The Rule-Mate Automated Bilge Pump is a reliable and effective pump that comes with an internal float switch for automatic operation. It can pump out small amounts of oil, diesel, and gas but should not pump these items into waterways. The pump may airlock if an in-line check valve is used, so it is not recommended for the RM1500A model. The pump is designed to use 24-VDC, but if you want to use 12-VDC, you should order the RM2000A model. It has a fuse size of 10-Amp and does not come with a plug, so the wires must be connected to the power source wires using waterproof sharing connectors. Customers have reported that the pump float switch may be defective and always on, causing the pump to never shut off even when dry.
