While the game requires a minimum of three players, it is suggested that it plays best with four or more. It is a competitive co-op game, so players have to cooperate while also presenting opportunities to either push themselves forward or their fellow players backward in the overall game. The game has no miniatures, but there is a cardboard stand. Fortunately, the game is not only in English, and there are plans for an expansion titled "Bloodborne: The Card Game – The Hunter's Nightmare," which is set to release this year.
