The AEM 28-20304 DryFlow Air Filter is a highly efficient replacement air filter that has deeper pleats and a greater thickness compared to regular filters. This results in improved filtering of dirt without any loss of airflow. While AEM claims that it even enhances air flow, the customer who had purchased it did not keep track of gas mileage on a full tank to verify this claim. The product is not currently recommended for a 2018 crosstrek fit, but it is suggested to search for the air filter replacement for the cross trek and see if it is the same model that fits a 2011+ WRX. The AEM Applications for 28-20304 AEM DryFlow Air Filter would be the proper application for the 2016 Subaru Impreza 1.6L H4.
