The Akai Professional MPK Mini MK3 is a USB MIDI keyboard controller with 25 keys, 8 velocity-sensitive backlit pads and 8 rotary encoder knobs that comes with music making software. Customers have had mixed experiences with the product. Some found it easy to use and set up with their DAW (such as Cubase), while others struggled with installation and assignment of program changes, requiring the use of Python scripts. The pads were reported as not being sensitive and the keys sometimes give off-key and off-loud sounds. Despite some mixed experiences, customers found the product useful for carrying due to its small size and convenient plug and play feature. The MPK Mini MK3 is a good introductory machine for beginners in DTM, especially for its inexpensive price.
